    Callout for local manufacturers 07 October 2024 Here at Health Support Services, our Procurement and Supply unit provides procurement and supply chain services across the WA health system, including clinical, medical equipment, ICT and other health related contracts. In alignment with the WA government’s strategic interest in enhancing local procurement and manufacturing capabilities, we are initiating market research to better understand the landscape of local manufacturers in WA. The Request for information (RFI)- Western Australian Manufacturers of Medical Goods, Equipment and Technologyseeks to inform HSS about medical goods and equipment currently manufactured in WA, as well as locally developed medical technology services that are being used by health services either nationally or internationally.     Great culture wins state award 26 August 2024 Our Contact Centre were recognised at state-level for their remarkable cultural transformation. The HSS Contact Centre were winners at the WA AusContact Awards in the category of ‘Employee Experience Initiative of the Year — Engagement and Culture award.’ Established in 2020, HSS introduced the Contact Centre, offering one contact number and an easy to navigate menu to offer a more seamless customer experience. Providing the first contact point for all WA Heath employees, the Contact Centre works closely with Payroll and Employee Services to provide a collaborative team-based response, by answering, assisting and redirecting calls, and assisting customers with forms such as leave requests.     Digital Medical Record's Milestone Reached 26 August 2024 100 million is a lot of anything. The Department of Health Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program are well aware of just how big this number is as on 16 July the 100,000,000th record was scanned into the Digital Medical Record (DMR) - an amazing achievement. Working alongside WA Health and other Health Support Partnerss, HSS has played an integral part since the initial DMR commencement at Fiona Stanley Hospital in 2014, with some BAU and project team members being involved since the start. Now accessible to more than half of the hospital beds across WA Health, the DMR is allowing clinicians to access real-time, immediately accessible digital medical records for patients. This enables clinicians to work more efficiently and effectively, without the delays and risks associated with copying, storing and retrieving paper records.     Good things come in threes 26 August 2024 The ICT Applications Integration and Planning and Architecture teams finished the financial year on a high, with the completion of three key projects for My Health Record.     CHIIPing away to improve our network security 12 August 2024 It’s one year since the Critical Health ICT Infrastructure Program (CHIIP) began and the team has good reason to celebrate. CHIIP has officially finished a mammoth collaborative effort with our customers to ensure WA Health’s network is fully enabled for the Program’s full delivery over the next three years. CHIIP is a four-year HSS-led program to replace all WA Health’s Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure at more than 450 sites to ensure the highest level of network security to protect patient records and business data. It will also improve network reliability, further enhance patient care and safety, and enable future digital initiatives.
