HSS helps deliver new EMHS website 01 August 2019 The HSS ICT Web Services team has helped develop a modern and user-friendly website to enable the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) to better communicate their services to the community. The new platform, which features information about EMHS’ programs and patient resources, is the first WA health system website to adopt the new WA Government’s web design standards aimed at providing visitors with an informative, vibrant and user-friendly browsing experience.

HSS launches new MAAS 30 July 2019 Health Support Services (HSS) has successfully launched a new Medical Accounts Assessment System (MAAS) to enable Health Service Providers (HSPs) to better manage invoices and payments of medical services provided by contracted medical practitioners (CMPs). The new MAAS, which replaces a previous system hosted by Medicare, is a secure and reliable platform to accurately process payments of CMP invoices in a timely manner. It also streamlines invoicing and payments under one managed system.

Aboriginal Cadet Program a gateway to employment in the WA health system 17 July 2019 This year, Health Support Services (HSS) has welcomed a cohort of new cadets as part of the Aboriginal Cadetship Program, which aims to develop and enhance pathways for Aboriginal employment in the WA health system. Nursing students Danika and Tahlia have joined NurseWest to learn about the support roles that nurses can be involved in, including administration duties in support of delivering education programs and service provision to regional health services. Sport and Exercise Science student Jasmin has joined the HR & Capability team, assisting with administration duties in the delivery of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Learning and Development, and Organisational Development.
