Welcome to the Noongar season, Kambarang

Today marks the first day of Kambarang (October to November) in the Noongar seasonal calendar. It’s a transformational time of year with an abundance of colours and flowers exploding all around us. It is known as the season of birth.

HSS Cadet Jasmine Unno is here to share some of her kaartdijin (knowledge) about this season and Noongar culture in the video.

 Sharing this kaartdijin is an important part of building Aboriginal cultural awareness at HSS to help create a culturally safe and inclusive environment that attracts Aboriginal people to our workforce. It also aligns with our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy which aims to create a workplace where all employees are seen, valued and respected.
