Here at Health Support Services, our Procurement and Supply unit provides procurement and supply chain services across the WA health system, including clinical, medical equipment, ICT and other health related contracts.
In alignment with the WA government’s strategic interest in enhancing local procurement and manufacturing capabilities, we are initiating market research to better understand the landscape of local manufacturers in WA.
The Request for information (RFI)- Western Australian Manufacturers of Medical Goods, Equipment and Technology seeks to inform HSS about medical goods and equipment currently manufactured in WA, as well as locally developed medical technology services that are being used by health services either nationally or internationally.
These insights will be shared across WA Health to identify potential opportunities for further engagement with local manufacturers to procure their existing medical goods, equipment, or medical technology services. All the details on how to submit a response can be found in the Request for information (RFI) - Western Australian Manufactures of Medical Goods, Equipment and Technology.
It’s important to note that the RFI and future request for clarification should not be interpreted to represent commitment or interest in any particular product, or a commitment from the WA health system to procure any product.
